The ePIXfab-plat4M summer school is organized from 29th of August 2016 to 2nd of September 2016 at Ghent University. The course carries it legacy from the silicon photonics summer school in 2014 with over 150 participants from across the globe.

The doctoral school will expose the participants to the fundamental concepts of silicon photonics. It will provide the participants with a unique opportunity to get a strong insight into the latest developments in silicon photonics technology. Renowned speakers in the field of silicon photonics will showcase hot topics and latest research results for various applications of silicon photonics.

The hands-on session in the summer school will train the participants in silicon photonic component design, circuit level simulation and design-rule complaint layouting. Poster sessions at the summer school with enable the participants with an opportunity to interact with world renowned experts of silicon photonics to discuss more about their ideas and potential challenges.
